Marriage & Family Therapist | MA, LMFT, CSAT, EMDR Trained, SEP, AAMFT Approved Supervisor

Meet Lisa Renda Trauma Specialist

Do you need hope that your life can improve? Are you having the same go-no-where arguments with the ones you love? The best thing I can do for clients is to help them feel hopeful as they discover greater satisfaction in their personal and sexual relationships. I believe that we each have personal strengths we can use to improve our problems. I can help you to find and use your strengths to get un-stuck. My goal is for you to feel empathically supported in your quest for more joy and peace.

I have personal experience living in relationships affected by PTSD, ADHD, and addiction. I passionately support and educate clients around these concerns. I also counsel people living with sexual addiction concerns. I find joy in my work as clients move towards greater peace and hope in their lives.

I am trained in EMDR and am a certified sexual addiction therapist with the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals. I am currently working towards my certification for Somatic Experiencing, a Somatic type of therapy to release trauma from the body. I currently serve as an AAMFT approved supervisor Candidate and am on the staff of Northpointe Recovery Intensive Outpatient Program for substance abuse recovery. I am passionate about attachment, Trauma, and neurobiology, and how they each have an impact on how we recover from trauma and addiction, particularly process addictions.

In my relaxing hours, I enjoy sleeping out in the Southern Utah wilderness to see the beautiful stars, hiking, kayaking, and reading historical fiction. Most of all loving my beautiful grandkids. I try to set a little time aside for some volunteer passion projects such as working at Encircle in Saint George. On the horizon, I hope to do more gardening and travel.

Meet Chris Driessen

It is difficult sometimes to come to an office, meet a new person and then tell them intimate details about your life. I understand this and I do my best to provide a safe and welcoming approach to our work together. To create a safe and effective therapeutic relationship I am committed to principles of equity and inclusion in my therapeutic work. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and ally.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist associate and specifically trained in attachment issues and the healing of trauma. I am most interested in healing couple relationships, whether the main issues are betrayal trauma and addiction, anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, or just general issues with healthy communication. Most couples coming to therapy struggle with a combination of some of these things. My clinical focus is on attachment and relationship repair, shame reduction and intimacy, men and vulnerability, anxiety depression, and supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community or those questioning or transitioning. I use a multi-modal approach including Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy.

I received My Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University in 2021 and my Bachelor's of Science Degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2019. I love to be outside hiking, mountain biking, camping, or fishing with my family. I’ve also recently found new interests in drawing and painting and I’m eager to learn more. I also enjoy a good podcast or book and I’m always open to recommendations!

Meet Ben Rhinesmith

We all have a unique perspective of reality from our own lived experiences. We possess, develop, and utilize our own strengths throughout these experiences. The meanings that we create from them are expressed in narratives we tell ourselves and others. Together people create a network of relationships as they share narratives and create experiences together. These networks of relationships can be a source of both constraint and strength. I believe therapy is a safe place where we can express the many parts of ourselves in a nonjudgmental atmosphere. I strive to meet clients with curiosity, creativity, compassion, courage, and a desire for connectedness.

I am trained in working with individuals, couples, and families that range from childhood through adulthood. I am especially passionate about helping adolescents and young adults. I utilize a postmodern philosophy, solution focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, systems theory, and internal family systems approach in therapy. I strive for the experience of therapy to be a collaborative effort of exploring people’s narratives and enhancing their strengths. I also have Level 1 Gottman training. I am available to conduct therapy in person or remotely via secure telehealth video communications.

In my personal life, I have many hobbies and interests which mostly revolve around the outdoors and being creative. My current passion involves dirt bikes, which includes riding, building, and teaching others to ride. I enjoy spending time with my wife and two dogs. We love going hiking, camping, traveling, gardening, reading, and relaxing together.
